Canvas & Cabins in Nature on the West Coast of Ireland

Pure Space is an eco-conscious campsite with grassy tent pitches, woodland camping and a healthy spread of glamping options, Pure Space is the perfect way-marker as you explore the west coast along the Wild Atlantic Way. Owners Trea and Kevin offer a welcome equal in warmth to their hand built eco-sauna and introduce you to the campsite with all the passion of a couple who have crafted the entire place themselves. And, of course, they have. Passionate about providing a truly natural experience, the couple have transformed an open meadow and four-hectares of native woodland into a real escape for campers who want to hide away from it all.

Glamping options onsite include fully furnished & nonfurnished bell tents, wooden lodges and off-grid wooden cabins. The wood-fired pizza oven in the outdoor kitchen, provides a sociable event for families, and when time allows try some Yoga with Trea in her charming Yoga centre.

The cabins are equipped with their own WC (Toilet and sink) but there is also on-site communal toilet and shower facilities. Hot water to the main block is provided through solar panels and a wood stove. An additional outdoor shower block featuring home-made solar showers is also provided with water from their rainwater harvesting.

Other Facilities

There is a communal camp fire where you can spend your summer evenings under the stars toasting marshmallows and sharing stories with other guests. They can supply you with wood at a nominal fee for the camp fires.

Laundry facilities are old-style… washing basin and washing line.

Recycling and composting is encouraged and facilities are provided. Guests are asked to buy and bring only the minimum and then divide that by two! No plastic water bottles or take-away containers will be permitted on site. Reusable drinking bottles for sale and very good FREE drinking water.

There is a clean bright campers kitchen looking out on to the camp field where you can cook up a storm with your fellow campers. It is well stocked with pots, pans, plates, cups and cooking utensils. It contains kettles, toasters and two 5-ring electric hobs. Sorry, no grill, microwave or oven.

The sauna is a real treat and will add to your ‘get away from it all’ experience here!
