Luxury Glamping in an Idyllic Country Setting in West Cork

Dunbeacon Camping and Glamping is located on the Wild Atlantic Way, on the stunning Mizen Peninsula in West Cork, overlooking Dunmanus Bay and the picturesque Sheep’s Head Peninsula. The family-run boutique camping and glamping site offers a range of accommodation options, including tipis, bell tents, caravan/camper van berths, and camping pitches. It provides a unique alternative to mass tourism and is the perfect holiday destination for families, couples, and travellers exploring the south-west of Ireland. The campsite is nestled amongst native mature trees and shrubs, with a bubbling stream, a small waterfall, and breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Luxurious Tipis and Bell Tents for an Authentic Glamping Experience

They have five tipis, each named after the Native American artwork hand-painted on them: Buffalo Spirit, Wild Elk, Soaring Eagle, Grazing Deer, and Owl's Nest. There are also two bell tents, named Crimson Cloud and Safari Bell Tent. The tipis feature a captivating structure and are adorned with Native American patterns and designs, creating a charming ambience both inside and out. Each tipi is luxuriously furnished to provide an authentic glamping experience. The tipis and bell tents accommodate up to four people, with one king-size bed (a double bed in the bell tent) and two single beds. An extra mattress with bedding is available upon request. They are beautifully furnished with vintage tables, warm blankets, cushions, sheepskin rugs, and carpets to ensure extra comfort and a homely atmosphere. Soft lighting adds to the warm and inviting feel. Outside, you will find seating and a firepit, perfect for relaxing by the campfire.

Tent, Caravan, and Motorhome Pitches in a Scenic Woodland Setting

The campsite offers a range of tent pitches (13 available) nestled within a small woodland setting, accommodating everything from solo travellers with bikes to large family tents. Electricity hook-ups are available across the site, with some shared connections. Water points are conveniently located at two spots near the main green area and in the camper’s kitchen.

For caravans and motorhomes, the campsite features a limited number of hard-standing pitches (5 available) with electrical hook-ups, along with an additional grass area. The site’s hilly terrain adds to its charm but limits availability.
